Crafty Secures Investment from JLL Spark to Fuel Workplace Pantry Innovations

Crafty Strategic Alliance with JLL

CHICAGO, IL — November 14, 2024 —Crafty, the leading national provider of innovative workplace food and beverage solutions, today announced a new strategic alliance with global commercial real estate firm, JLL, along with secured investment from JLL's venture arm, JLL Spark Global Ventures. This alignment between the two firms solidifies a shared focus of bringing industry-leading technologies, experiences, and expertise to workplaces across the globe.

“JLL Spark’s investment in Crafty is a powerful validation of our vision to transform workplace food and beverage programs,”  said Nathan Rosenstock, CEO and Co-founder of Crafty. “By joining forces with JLL, we’re eager to bring Crafty’s innovative pantry solutions to their global network of leading workplaces.”

Beyond investment, JLL’s decision to form a strategic alliance with Crafty comes at a pivotal moment for workplace culture. As a recent Gallup study found, 53% of U.S. employees now operate under hybrid schedules as more employers expect a percentage of employees' time in the office. As a result, enhanced in-office experiences are in high demand. With food and beverage services increasingly seen as essential perks, Crafty’s solutions are designed to meet this growing need.

“At JLL Spark, we invest in visionary companies that are reshaping the way people experience the workplace. Crafty’s unique combination of technology and high-touch service makes them a standout in the food and beverage sector,” said Laurent Grill, Partner at JLL Spark.

JLL Spark’s investment was part of Crafty’s most recent $10M funding round, which also included new investors Transform Capital and Interplay, alongside continued backing from Greycroft, Tribeca Venture Partners, Manifold, Bluestein Ventures, and Gaingels. This brings Crafty’s total funding to $26M, positioning the company for significant growth.

With this new infusion of capital, Crafty plans to accelerate the development of its platform and expand into key markets to better serve its national customers and deepen its impact in the workplace F&B space.

“We’ve supported Crafty from the beginning because of their innovative approach to workplace food and beverage services and their strong growth potential,” said Elaine Russell, Operating Partner at Greycroft. “We’re excited to continue supporting Crafty’s journey as they expand nationwide and aim to deliver exceptional solutions for leading companies.”

Since its founding in 2015, Crafty has redefined how businesses manage food and beverage programs by combining exceptional pantry service with innovative technology that offers transparency and real-time insights. Today, Crafty manages over 300 client locations across 36 markets and serves more than 300,000 employees per month. Example clients of Crafty’s include AskBio, Carta, DraftKings, G2, NerdWallet, Okta, Reddit, Ring, Robinhood, Strava, TPG, and Upwork.
